EHS Class of 1985 to host 40th Class Reunion

The El Dorado High School Class of 1985 will be holding their 40th year class reunion on October 3rd and 4th, 2025. The Class will gather and cheer the alma matter at the EHS vs. Mulvane Homecoming football game on Friday, October 3, on the skybox level of BG Products Veterans Memorial Stadium. The Class will gather at 6:30 and game start is at 7:00pm. Food and drink available at concessions or support the Encore and Drama department as they promote pulled pork sandwiches as a fundraiser on the concourse level. Admission is $7 and Drama sandwiches are $13. The Class will gather again on Saturday, October 4, at Frawg’s Bar and Grill inside the bowling alley. Dinner and drinks are on your own from Frawg’s menu. Social time and music bingo with 80’s era music. No registration is required. Join for one or both evenings. The Class has designated the EHS Booster Clubs as this reunion’s cause to donate.

KDHE issues warning on 7-Hydroxymitragynine (7-OH) products

TOPEKA – The Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) are alerting the public about the risks associated with 7-hydroxymitragynine (7-OH). Kratom and 7-OH are often marketed alongside each other because 7-OH is naturally found in kratom in small amounts. However, 7-OH products use synthetic compounds with much higher concentration and potency.

Fall River State Park celebrates National Public Lands Day with 23rd annual Rendezvous

The Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks invites you to the 23rd Annual Fall River Rendezvous, a National Public Lands Day celebration on Saturday, September 27, at Fall River State Park. Living historians will create a rendezvous of our American history of 1800 to 1840. A time when the mountain men & American Indians would bring their furs to be traded for items needed to get them through the winter to come. Guests can enjoy a black powder shoot, tomahawk throw, and other historical demonstrations throughout the day. This is a FREE entrance day into Fall River State Park to celebrate National Public Lands Day. Bring your family out and step back to 1825.
