El Dorado City Manager says Andover water connection is sustainable

With an increase in water rate usage and the previous summer’s drought, the Andover City Mayor, Ronnie Price, has made his voice clear: he no longer wants to buy water from Wichita for Andover residents. Mayor Price says he’d like to avoid future issues like these by connecting Andover to the El Dorado Lake, but is it sustainable? The City Manager of El Dorado, David Dillner, says yes.

All Aboard for Andover’s First-Ever Spring Celebration!

The City of Andover is excited to announce a brand-new spring event, HeritageFest, inviting residents and visitors to step back in time and celebrate a unique part of Andover’s history. Inspired by the city’s rich railroad past, this first-ever spring celebration will take place on Saturday, May 17, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at The Heritage (360 S Heritage Way).

BCC shooting team closes first season

The Butler Shooting Sports team finished up their first fall season. The team participated in 3 disciplines; trap, skeet and sporting clays. The league included all community colleges and universities in the nation and teams were split into 6 conferences with approximately ten teams per conference. For trap, the team placed 9th in our division. The skeet division was a new discipline for all on the team and everyone improved as the season progressed.
