EL DORADO – The Butler Community College Board of Trustees is pleased to announce that, after a nationwide search, Dr. Tamara Daniel has been named the sixth President in the college’s nearly 100-year history. Her first day will be Monday, June 23.

Last Tuesday evening, Butler County Emergency Management Agency celebrated the groups of people who volunteer for the Community Emergency Response, (CERT), and Butler County Animal Response Teams, (BUCART), with an annual dinner. The dinner highlighted and revisited the activities and hard work the volunteers put fourth throughout the year.
Brycen Lambert, nine-year-old resident of Augusta, spent 40 days in the hospital before being released with no clear answers as to what is causing Gastroparesis. The young boy will soon be seeing a specialist to hopefully learn why his stomach has stopped digesting food. In the meantime, he continues to be fed via a tube and cannot take anything by mouth.
