Rogler Family homestead – now preserving ranching heritage
In fields of honor, where poppies bloom,Lie fallen soldiers, in eternal gloom.Their sacrifice, a debt we cannot repay,For they gave their lives, in the fray.With hearts of courage, they marched to war,Leaving behind loved ones, forevermore.Their spirits strong, their resolve unyielding,In the face of danger, their bravery revealing.They fought for freedom, for peace and right,Through darkest nights, and endless fight.Their blood stained the earth, their tears unseen,As they fought for a future, where hope would gleam.In trenches deep, they stood side by side,Brothers with honor and pride.Through bullets and bombs, they held their ground,Their valor and sacrifice, forever renowned.Their names etched in stone, forever engraved,In the annals of history, their memory saved.We remember their faces, their laughter and tears,Their dreams and aspirations, cut short by fears.They left behind families, with hearts torn apart,Their absence a void, forever in their heart.But we stand united, in gratitude and respect,For the fallen brothers , we shall never forget...About the authorRoyce Brandon Snyder, known on paper as R.B.Snyder, is an El Dorado native and poem author.
