Destiny Williams, Christina Downs and Taylor Williams all had a pair of hits to help propel the Orioles' offense in a 7-4 victory against Wellington at Monday's regional tournament opener in Mulvane.

The Orioles will play Clearwater at 4:45 p.m. Tuesday. Augusta split with the Indians a week ago to close the regular season.

Sidney Dey pitched four innings, giving up four hits while striking out five. Megan Hayes pitched three innings, giving up just two hits and a walk while striking out four.

Top-seeded Mulvane won its opener with a run-rule win. The Wildcats will face Rose Hill in the other semifinal. The championship game is scheduled for 6:30.
