EL DORADO   -  Gayle Arnett, FACHE, President and CEO at Susan B. Allen Memorial Hospital in El Dorado, recently became a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, the nation’s leading professional society for healthcare leaders.
Fellow status represents achievement of the highest standard of professional development.  In fact, only 7,500 healthcare executives hold this distinction, according to the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE).  To obtain fellow status, candidates must fulfill multiple requirements, including passing a comprehensive examination, meeting academic and experiential criteria, earning continuing education credits and demonstrating professional/community involvement.  ACHE fellows are also committed to ongoing professional development and undergo recertification every three years.
Mrs. Arnett has been President and CEO at Susan B. Allen since June, 2008.  She is an El Dorado native, and started at SBAMH in 1981.  From 1996-2008, she served as the Vice President & CFO.  She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and is a Fellow of the Healthcare Financial Management Association.  She is a Past Board Member of the Bluestem Credit Union, Past President of the El Dorado Rotary Club, and current Finance Committee Chair for the Partners in Education Committee.
“I am honored to become a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives,” said Arnett.  “The mission of Susan B. Allen Memorial Hospital is to provide compassionate, professional healthcare to the people we serve.  The communities we serve deserve that level of care, provided by a staff who demonstrate their commitment to upholding standards of excellence.  I am proud to be recognized by the ACHE for achieving this level of professional development.”
The American College of Healthcare Executives, an international professional society of more than 30,000 health care executives, is known for its prestigious credentialing and educational programs.
