Lonia Louise (Graham) Tuner, 74, passed away on November 24, 2022.
Lonia was born in Rock Springs, Wyoming to Stanley James and LaVeda May (McIllvain) Graham on April 16, 1948. She was the oldest of six children. She graduated from Lyman High School, Lyman WY in 1966. After high school, she met John Carr in 1967 with whom she had her two children, Travis Carr and Johna Carr during their 10 years of marriage. After moving to Kansas, Lonia had a long career in the aircraft industry, where she met numerous friends, but most importantly her soulmate, Kenneth Turner. The two married August 22, 1980, joining his children to the family three more children, Sandy Craig, Lona Turner, and David Turner. She was an incredibly hard worker for Boeing, becoming one of the first women to supervise and lead her own crew.
She retired after 25 years of faithful work. After her retirement, Lonia enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, going to the casino on date night with her husband, and helping those around her. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and friend, and a devout Christian who prayed fiercely for her family everyday.
Lonia is proceeded in death by both parents, Stanley and LaVeda Graham, her husband, Kenneth Charles Turner, and her baby sister, Zadeea Jean Harris. She is survived by her children: Travis (Brenda) Carr of Daytona Beach, FL, David (Joan) Turner of Sparks, NV, Sandy (Max) Craig of Davis, CA, Lona Turner of San Jose, CA, and Johna Carr of Douglass, KS. Her siblings: Mac (Louise) Graham of West Yellowstone, MT, Shelloa (Jim) Ortiz of Long Island, NY, Mark Graham of Mansfield, TX, Kayla (Bob) Bassett of Farmington, NM and David Harris of Aztec, NM. Her grandchildren: Melissa (Denver) Kalinowski, Whitney (William) Mansfield, Ian Carr, Rebecca Carr, Shelby (Sophia) Turner, Koby Carr, Kasey Carr, and four great grandchildren.
Service will be held at Freedom Church 7070 SW 60th Augusta, KS on Monday, January 23, 2023 at 12:00 p.m
