Laura McCarter Simpson passed away October 26, 2022 at the age of 92.

Laura was employed for 15 years with The Walnut Valley State Bank of El Dorado, Ks.

She retired from Wichita State University after serving as Secretary of The Administration of Justice Department. She was also a certified Sedgwick County Extension Master Gardner, and was an Emeritus.

Laura is survived by three daughters, Linda L. Ziegler, Jacqueline S. Eaton, and Jill L. Adler, many Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, and Great Great Grandchildren. She was proceeded in death by her husbands, Arlen Haynes, Roy M. Simpson, son Douglas Haynes, three sisters, and two grandsons and one brother. A private burial will be made at the Topeka Memorial Cemetery in the McCarter family plot in Topeka, Kansas on November 7, 2022.
