Rena Mae Wyer, resident of El Dorado, Kansas, passed away on August 28th, 2022 at home surrounded by her loving family. Rena was born to Joseph and Allie (Harrison) Scholl in Wichita, Kansas on March 4th, 1931. She was married to John Wyer in November of 1950. He precedes her in death. When Rena wasn’t busy taking care of the home, she dedicated her time to Susan B. Allen Memorial Hospital in El Dorado where she served as a nurse’s aide for many years. In her free time, she had many hobbies which included quilting, planting flowers and growing tomatoes in her garden, watching soap operas (especially her favorite, General Hospital), cooking delicious meals for her family, and traveling with her husband to do some sight-seeing. Taking care of children brought Rena the most joy. She absolutely loved kids and she was lucky enough to be blessed with numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and even one great-great-grandchild.
