LEON – Melissa Sue Lakin was born on March 2, 1969 in El Dorado, KS to the late Linda (Haury) and Larry Lago. She was a homemaker who enjoyed her family especially her grandchildren. On January 27, 1995 she married her best friend, William Lakin, Jr. in Leon and he survives. She is also survived by: children, Kasondra Divine and husband Ryan, Trent Worrell, Payton Lakin and Dalton Lakin all of Leon; sister, Michelle Tuschhoff and husband Raymond of Augusta; brothers, Brian Lago and wife Camille of Whitewater and Barry Lago and Jennifer of Meade, CO; 14 grandchildren, Gavin, Keyauna, Samiya, JD, Brennin, Kierian, Aiden, Isabelle,, Austin, Rylee, Automn, Baylor, Cayton, and Dahkya; 12 nephews, 6 nieces, and 23 great nieces and nephews, mother and father-in-law, Donna and Ron Maddux of Wichita; sister-in-law, Sherry (Todd) Kingsley of Leon and a brother-in-law, Don Lakin of Leon. She was preceded in death by her parents, father-in-law, William H. Lakin, Sr.; grandson, Cayton Lakin; and niece, Brooke Lago. Melissa passed away at home in Leon on November 16, 2021.
