FEMALE NOMINEEES
Lainey Tyner, Andover Central, Volleyball
Tyner helped Andover Central win the Ark City Invitational where they had five wins by straight sets. She had 13 aces and 33 kills to go along with her 38 digs. They went 6-1 this week with the lone loss to 6A defensive champ, Mill Valley.
Gracie Tucker, Circle, Volleyball
Tiner had 22 kills in a triangular with Andale and Clearwater as she helped Circle pick up the split. She had 11 in each match as she helped Circle split the very difficult triangular.
Mia Jaramillo, Andover, Tennis
Jaramillo won the No. 1 singles bracket at the Newton Invitational. She just dropped a single game on her way to four match wins.
MALE NOMINEES
Jaxson Green, Andover Central, Football
Green carried the defending state champions to their first win on Friday night as he ran for 183 yards and three touchdowns in the 27-18 win over Newton.
Pius Graf, Remington, Football
The senior QB for the Broncos through for 266 yards and two touchdowns. He also had two TDs on the ground in the 42-6 blowout win over Bennington.
Jase Thomas, Augusta, Cross Country
The Augusta senior competed in the Wamego invitational, finishing fifth in a loaded field. His time of 16:53.98 helped Augusta finished seventh as a team.
