The Kansas Department of Transportation has announced approved bids for state highway construction and maintenance projects in Butler County for the month of August. The letting took place August 20 in Topeka.
Project #54‑8 KA‑7804‑01: This project will involve U.S. 54, running from the east city limits of El Dorado to the east of the Butler/Greenwood county line. It will include crack repair for a total run of 16.9 miles. The awarded contractor for the project is Pavement Pros LLC out of Mcpherson for a total $77,352.26.
Project #900-8 KA‑6474‑01: This project will involve K‑900. Bridge #169 over Walnut River located at the Eldorado State Park will be replaced. The awarded contractor for this project is A M Cohron and Son Inc. out of Atlantic, Iowa for a total of $3,188,623.42.
