The El Dorado Police Department will host the first Coffee with a Cop of 2025 on Thursday, January 16.

Coffee with a Cop are public meetings held by the agency to enhance community engagement and to disperse information to citizens about statistics and newness while addressing community concerns and answering any questions attendees may bring. Previous meeting topics have included the Flock Camera system, K9 Rico, the agency drone, and often include current crime statistics.

At the upcoming meeting Chief of Police Michael Holton and Sergeant John Thompson will present the end of year statistics for 2024 that include crime, case and motor vehicle accidents. The team will also brief the crowd on the VIN inspection process the agency has offered since October 2024.

Any questions or concerns brought up by attendees will be answered or confronted by the team as well. Coffee with a Cop will begin at 9am and hosted at the Captain Edgar Dale American Legion Post 91 located at 1801 W Central Ave.
