City of El Dorado
The City of El Dorado recently recognized 12 employees for various awards that included service anniversaries, distinguished and special awards.
Distinguished Employee Awards
Don Argo, Parks and Recreation, Department earned the Community Impact Award. This is presented to an exemplary employee for their voluntary service to the community beyond official duties and responsibilities.
Stacy Turner, Parks and Recreation, Department received the Out of the Box Award. This is presented to an employee or team who facilitated an innovative project or initiative that enhanced operational efficiency and/or effectiveness.
Melissa Shinkle, Police Department, received the Excellence Award. This is presented to an employee who consistently demonstrated a work ethic that exceeds performance standards and who strives to achieve the best outcomes for citizens.
Michelle Linson, Public Utilities, received the In the Black Award. This is presented to an employee or team that demonstrated a commitment to fiscal responsibility and stewardship of public resources.
Brad Meyer and Spencer Diaz, Public Works, received the Working Well Award. This is presented to a team or department that exemplified commitment to teamwork and collaboration by working with other departments and agencies in the performance of municipal services.
Special award
Erik Tharp, Engineering Dept., received a special recognition for his efforts in maintaining the little Christmas tree at Main and Central, making a dream of one of our commissioners come true – seeing a tree at that intersection once again.
