This Sunday, October 19, the Augusta Education Association will host USD 402 Board of Education candidates running in the 2025 election. The candidates will meet with the public to share their reason for running and answer questions from constituents.

There are nine candidates running for three At-Large positions on the USD 402 Board of Education. Those candidates are:

Angie Johnson (Incumbent)

Darrell Kohls (Incumbent)

Susan Hostetter (Incumbent)

Brent Basquez

Kara Winter

Chris Cody

A.J. Bodyk

Shawna Lewis

Andee Kant

The forum will take place in the Augusta High School Auditorium from 2-3:30pm. The public is invited to attend and ask questions. A follow-up from this event will be covered by the Times-Gazette to cover what questions were asked and what candidates said during the forum. Polling locations will be included in the follow-up. The 2025 election will take place on Tuesday, November 4.
