The Kansas Department of Health and Environment, (KDHE), has rescinded a boil water advisory for the City of Towanda on Monday around 12pm.
The advisory was issued on October 8 due to three waterline break that resulted in the loss of pressure in the distribution system. Failure to maintain proper pressure could result in a loss of chlorine residuals and cause bacterial contamination.
After further testing and analysis of the water, it was determined that the water contained no contamination.
For further questions, please contact the water system at 316-536-2243, or KDHE at 785-296-5514.
