The Kansas Department of Transportation has announced the rest area on U.S. 400 that is located in Greenwood County just east of Beaumont will close in October for repair.

The repair will be on the rest area floor to improve the footing for patrons when wet.

The area will close on Monday, October 6 and remain closed for a little over a week, finishing up in mid-October. The project finish date depends on weather conditions and can be tentative.
