Butler County

El Dorado — Butler County is looking for public input as we work to update the Butler County Comprehensive Plan. The County has reached the mid-point in development of the Comprehensive Plan and the goal is to provide the community with a compelling vision and framework to be used as a guide for future decision-making and development. The Plan will provide an inclusive framework for the orderly and consistent planning of future growth in Butler County with collaboration from the public, municipalities and townships within the County. The Plan focuses on land use, development patterns, housing types, infrastructure and economic development.

A Virtual Public Open House is available until Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at www.butlercompplan.com. The public is encouraged to share their thoughts on draft community values, land use patterns and development areas. The materials provided in the online format mirror the same materials and information presented at the in-person Public Open House. Citizen input is essential to a successful project.

Also available on the Plan’s website is a Community Questionnaire, which provides an opportunity for citizens to share their ideas and input regarding the Plan’s focus and development.
