BrewCo. 2 Go to open this fall

Locally owned and operated coffeehouse and sandwich shop, BrewCo. Coffeehouse & Dilly Deli announced this month that they plan to expand into a second location that will exclusively offer drive-thru services.

El Dorado graduate and coffee lover Kaytlan Berry was finishing up her entrepreneurial and marketing degree at Wichita State University when she was tasked with creating a business plan as her capstone project. During her experience working in the coffee shop industry, she identified a customer need that inspired the beloved El Dorado coffee shop she now owns.

As she navigated the industry from barista, to shift leader and area manager over eight years of service, Berry often took complaints from customers of the unnamed franchise coffee shop needing to sell sandwiches. While she couldn’t make them sell sandwiches, she knew she could sell them herself. That’s when BrewCo. was born.

After developing her business plan through her final year at Wichita State University, Berry was ready to take a bite out of business in her hometown of El Dorado. Opening 12 years ago as Dilly Deli, BrewCo. Coffeehouse came one year later to combine the sandwich and coffee efforts in 2015 as one business.

Looking back on her years in business, which is now a beloved staple in downtown El Dorado, she says that offering quality products and great customer service has allowed her to thrive. Most of all, she gives kudos to the supportive and loving community of El Dorado.

“We’re just so thankful for this community,” said Berry. “We wouldn’t be where we are today without the community’s support. I feel like El Dorado has a great backing for us a lot of local businesses. They try hard to support local businesses and it doesn’t go unnoticed, we’re very thankful for that.”

Now she’s excited to expand her food and drink menu to the second busiest intersection in El Dorado.

“There’s nothing on the north side of town that offers a drive-thru, just one,” said Berry. “It’s a completely different industry on that side of town. There aren’t any coffee shops on that side of town.”

BrewCo. 2 Go, located just five blocks north of the original location, will sit at the corner of Main Street and E Sixth Avenue, 640 N. Main. It will fill the drive-thru convenience need that customers have been asking for from the original location, in addition to having an all-day breakfast.

The breakfast menu will include yogurt parfaits, breakfast sandwiches, baked goods and acai bowls.

Although the opening date isn’t known right now, Berry says she plans to open in mid to late August, pending remodel completion and equipment installation. The drive-thru location will be open from 6am-6pm Monday-Friday and 7am-2pm on weekends to serve early birds and midday coffee lovers alike.

The same color and aesthetics will be reflected in the second location with a matching blue coat of paint and copper gutters. A drive-thru experience will be complete with a standing menu, speaker for orders and pick-up window. A second drive-thru lane is in the works for mobile orders that will come as the business develops.

The expansion came at the perfect time for the Berry family as her oldest, who was just three when she purchased the first location, grows older and her youngest enters school.

“It was the right time for us to expand,” said Berry. “It wasn’t anything we were searching for, but everything fell into place for this to happen.”

BrewCo. Coffeehouse & Dilly Deli is located at 139 N. Main St in El Dorado. The shop is open from 6:30am-7pm Monday-Friday, 7am-5pm on Saturdays and 8am-5pm on Sundays.

Kaytlan lives with her husband, who is a Circle Schools graduate, and two children in Towanda. As the opening date is announced for BrewCo. 2 Go, the Times-Gazette will follow the story and update, as necessary.
