Paige McDaniel appointed as Interim Director

The El Dorado Chamber of Commerce announced on Friday that they were undergoing a change in leadership, citing the resignation of the now former Executive Director, Gregg Mudd.

Mudd was hired in October 2024 shortly after Phil Benedict submitted his retirement notice.

As the board navigates and begins the hiring process for the next Executive Director, Paige McDaniel has accepted an offer to act as the Interim Director.

“Our commitment to our members, businesses, and the El Dorado community remains strong as ever,” the El Dorado Chamber of Commerce stated in a release. “All Chamber programming, events and initiatives will continue as scheduled.”

McDaniel has served the El Dorado community for nearly her entire professional career and most recently as the El Dorado Chamber of Commerce as the Executive Assistant for the last three years. An Augusta native, McDaniel has a love for the El Dorado community and the businesses within.

“My connection to El Dorado began with my first job at just 15 years old,” said McDaniel. “I’m proud to serve during this transitional period. Our commitment to our members and community remains unchanged. This is a time of opportunity and I’m here to support our businesses.”

In addition to her experience within the Chamber organization, she brings three years of managerial experience with a prior employer.

The Chamber’s upcoming events include:

Tuesday, June 3 at 11:30am

Lunch and Learn with David J Powell & Associates: A free lunch for businesses wanting to learn more about health insurance options.

Wednesday, June 4 at 8am

Chamber Chat: Free event for members and nonmembers alike to meet with each other, network, and share business related news while enjoying donuts and coffee.
