Second donut shop in town

Is this war? No, not political or world – just a donut war. Opening exactly two weeks after Daylight Donuts and located just two miles down the road, a new donut shop has moved into town: Crispy Donuts.

After receiving many requests to open up a donut store in El Dorado and serving many of the town’s residents at their Wichita locations, Owner Lee Kang, and wife Ctienda decided to finally open a fourth location in El Dorado. The frosting on top of the donut is that Lee loves to fish at El Dorado Lake and is excited to satisfy his fishing needs after work more often.

“Even our building landlord in El Dorado is our customer in Wichita,” said Ctienda.

The couple opened their first Crispy Donuts store in 2023 after living in Wichita for a year. The first store opened is located at 460 N West Street. Shortly after they expanded to Dodge City in 2024 then in Wichita with a third location at 3233 E Harry Street in January 2025. All stores are owned and operated by different family members.

Just four months after opening their latest store, the El Dorado location celebrated its grand opening on Monday. The Crispy Donuts stores differentiate themselves from other donut stops by catering to kids needs. There is pacman, foosball, a claw machine and a kids table for children.

Their donuts are a family recipe they’ve developed and offer a wide array of products including cake and regular donuts, glazed, frosted, cream filled, jelly filled, fritters, butterflies, nut rolls, cinnamon rolls, bear claws, and their “fancy” donuts. The store also offers pastries and sandwiches such as pigs in a blanket, burritos, croissants sandwiches, biscuit sandwiches and bagels.

In addition to donuts and handheld breakfast, the shop offers fresh blended fruit smoothies, coffee, iced coffee, thai tea, green tea, taro, and a variety of bottled drinks.

Crispy Donuts is located at 2401 W Central Ave, Suite A in El Dorado. Drive-thru service is available as well as indoor seating. Operating hours are seven days a week from 4am-4pm.
