“Good luck beating this one, folks!”

If you drive by the El Dorado Lake, take a drive near the dam and you may see a 15-foot snowman standing tall in the cold temperatures.

The snowman, built by a group of friends and their children, was built on Sunday evening, January 12. He stands at 15’2” to be exact, with a head the group estimates to be about 400lbs!

The group of friends, who call El Dorado their hometown, were proud to share their photo with the Times-Gazette over the weekend. Proud builders include Jake Garrison, Chels Meyer, Justin Klein, Mallory Klein, Jade Johnson, Tia Morris plus everyone’s children.

The group did enter the work of art into the City’s snowman contest, but submitted late, so it’s unclear if they will make it into the competition for voting. At the end of the day, the friends hope to inspire kids and adults alike to have fun in the snow while building something larger than life.

The snowman can be found near the El Dorado Lake dam at E Sixth Ave and Sharpville Rd.
