A couple was arrested on Tuesday morning in El Dorado for domestic violence and aggravated assault charges after a report of a stabbing.
The El Dorado Police Department said that Julia Felt and Trevor Toney were the only two involved in the altercation and were arrested after the incident. A third party called in the dispute around 10:09am in the 1200 block of S High St with the 911 dispatcher advising the responding officers that the Toney had just been released from the hospital as they made their way to the scene.
Felt had sustained a minor stab wound to her hand during the dispute that was inflicted by Toney. It was also found that Felt had stabbed Toney with an arrow through the chest. Both individuals were medically cleared by the hospital. Officers located Felt at the 1200 block of S Summit St. Both individuals were transported to the El Dorado Police Department for further questioning.
Felt was booked into the Butler County Jail on one charge of aggravated battery and one charge of interference with law enforcement and given a $2,500 bond. Toney was booked on one charge of domestic violence, which was dropped during his first appearance and he was released from the jail. Felt will appear before the courts on January 13 for a preliminary hearing next. The investigation is ongoing.
