Andover – Lynn Everett McBride, 78, passed away on Thursday, August 11, 2022.

Lynn was born on Sunday, May 28, 1944 in El Dorado, Kansas to Elza A. and Eunice V. (Potts) McBride.

Lynn was united in marriage to Karen Johnson on July 12, 1964 in El Dorado, Kansas. They were married for 58 years until Lynn’s passing.

Lynn worked as the director for Central Kansas Prison Ministry for many years.

Lynn is survived by his wife Karen of Andover; children, Mashella Johnson of Jenks, Oklahoma, and Mark (Shannon) McBride of Wichita; grandchildren, Sarah Elizabeth Johnson, Hannah Rebekah Johnson, and Cross Alan McBride; and many nieces and nephews.

Lynn is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Vivian Smith and Ellazene McAdoo; and brother, Alva McBride.

Visitation will be on Friday, August 19th from 5-7 p.m. at Dunsford Funeral Home in Augusta. Funeral Service will be on Saturday, August 20th at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist in El Dorado.

The family wishes Memorial Contributions be made out to the Central Kansas Prison Ministry, left in care of the Dunsford Funeral Home.
