Freida K. Jackson

Freida K. Jackson entered eternal rest with the Lord on Aug. 19 while a resident at ANEW Healthcare in Oxford, Kansas. She was born in El Dorado, Kansas on Feb. 2, 1951 and was the second of three children born to James C. and Phyllis (Brewer) Jackson. Freida grew up in the Chelsea community and attended Chelsea Grade School from first through eighth grades and was active in sports and the Chelsea B Square 4-H Club. She graduated from El Dorado High School and attended Butler County Community College. Freida was blessed with two children: Kimberly Renee (deceased) and Brook Allen Rader

of Wichita. Her adventurous spirit led her to travel across 48 states in the U.S. throughout the years. She loved the outdoors and nature, and found joy in hiking, biking, kayaking and skiing, among other sports. Freida’s humor was infectious and her big heart for others, especially children and animals, made her a personality that no one could forget. Freida’s career included being a massage therapist and certified nurse assistant. Freida is survived by her son Brook (Martha) Rader; two granddaughters, Samantha and Kimberly Rader of Wichita; and a grandniece, Nikki Anaya of Edmond, Oklahoma. Her siblings include a sister, Carol Jackson of Dallas, and brother, James C. Jackson Jr. of Lawton, Oklahoma. She is also survived by nephews, James Jackson III and Louis Jackson of Oklahoma City, and Zach (Denise) Wilson of Chickasha,Oklahoma. Freida was preceded in death by her daughter, Kimberly, and father and mother. Visitation with the family will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, September 1 at Carlson Colonial Funeral Home. Services will be held Friday, Sept. 2, at 2 p.m. at the Carlson Colonial Funeral home.
