Elsie was born in El Dorado, KS on January 13, 1929 the daughter of Rolla & Alice Fay (LaMunyon) Ryan. She was a graduate of Latham High School in Latham, KS. She was united in marriage to Kenneth DeMoss April 26th, 1965. She raised her family in the Latham, KS area.

Elsie loved to travel and being outdoors. After retiring she moved to Tavares, FL, San Miguel de Allende Mexico and Stagecoach, NV and hosted her children and grandchildren often. She was a 50-year member of the Order of the Easter Star, took pride in working with the Latham Centennial Committee and was a 4-H leader for several years. She worked in the aircraft industry and ultimately retired from Beechcraft in Wichita, KS.

She is survived by her sister Eva Jean Shaw of Marietta, GA, daughters Donna Johnson of Augusta, KS and Debra Hunnell of Leon, KS; grandchildren/ great grandchildren, Ken (Monica) Hunnell and Braylon of Halstead, KS, Ryan Worrell and Madi, Noah & Reid of Augusta, KS, Rusty (Sami) Harvey and Emma, Kayla & Kolt of Garnett, KS and Chelsea Worrell of Leon, KS.

Elsie was preceded in death by her parents Rolla & Fay Ryan, husband Kenneth DeMoss, brother Rolla Lee Ryan, son James Craig DeMoss, son-in-law Kenneth Hunnell and life-long friend James Stewart. A memorial service will be held February 19, 2022 at Leon Christian Church, Leon, KS at 10:00 a.m.
