Dorothy Ann Elizabeth (Deines) Borron, 90, passed away February 19, 2022 at home surrounded by her family.

She was born September12, 1931 in Russell County, Kansas to Anna and Rudolph Deines. Dorothy grew up in Hoisington, Kansas. At the age of 18 she met the love of her life Leroy Borron. They were married on August 15, 1950. Their union was blessed with three daughters and one son while living in Hoisington. Once all of her children were in school she began her career at Sears in Great Bend, Kansas. Dorothy retired after 27 years.

She was a woman of faith, a lifelong church member and active participant in her church’s ministries. She was a devoted loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She adored her family, spending time outdoors, going to exercise classes with friends, church activities, sewing and quilting, cooking, and traveling. She collected as many bells and thimbles from her travels as possible.

Dorothy loved her retirement years with her husband, spending summers in Colorado and winters in Texas in their RV. She made many friends, enjoyed fishing, trips through the mountains and time with her family. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents Anna and Rudolph Deines, her two brothers LeRoy and Leon Deines and her beloved husband Leroy.

Left to cherish her memories are her children Brenda Taxeras of Leavenworth, Kansas; Bev Davis of Towanda, Kansas; Diane Poeschel (Steve) of El Dorado, Kansas; Curtis Borron (Beverley) of Wichita Falls, Texas; five grandchildren, six great grandchildren, seven step greatgrandchildren as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends and loved ones.

Dorothy will be missed for all the love, kindness and happiness shared with family and friends.
