Thursday's softball game between Augusta and Topeka Hayden played out every bit the way a memorable state tournament game should.Neither team led by more than one run. Neither team scored more than one run in an inning. And seven innings was not enough to determine the winner. No, this bout took 10 innings as both teams played their hearts out.

The Rose Hill golf team took second at the Class-4A State Golf Tournament Wednesday at McPherson. The Rockets tied third place Wamego with 310 points behind State Champion Buhler with 293.
