Last season, the Andover Central soccer team opened the season with 11 straight wins, before finally losing their 12th game to Eisenhower by a score of 2-1. The Jaguars went on to finish 18-4 and earned a runner-up finish at the 4-1A state tournament.

This season, Central has enjoyed an even better start as the they just finished their 13th game of the season on Tuesday night and have yet to suffer their first loss.

With a 2-0 victory over Valley Center Tuesday night, the Jaguars improved to 12-0-1. After a scoreless first half, Trevor Chavez and Jack Benedict each scored a goal to give Central a 2-0 result at home.

The Jaguars next two matches will be at home against Newton and Maize South, before traveling to Goddard to take on Eisenhower to close the regular season. Maize South and Eisenhower will be two of the toughest tests the Jaguars will face as Maize South has a record of 9-3 and Eisenhower is 12-3. The Jaguars lost to both opponents by one goal last season.
