Andover relied on a dominant run game on Friday night as they dominated Ark City from start to finish for a 42-7 victory on Friday night at Andover District Stadium.

The first points of the game were scored by the Andover defense, as Quentin Born cam up with a 31-yard pick-six early in the first quarter. After Peyton Henry broke free for a 63-yard touchdown run, Eli Fahnestock connected with Henry for a 29-yard touchdown pass to put the Trojans up 21-0 in the first quarter. Late in the first quarter Ark City scored their first, and only, points of the night on a 79-yard touchdown pass.

After 28 total first-quarter points, neither team was able to score in the second quarter, and the Trojans took a 21-7 lead into halftime.

In the second half, Andover outscored Ark City 21-0 and cruised to their third victory of the season to improve to 3-3.

Sophomore quarterback Eli Fahnestock finished with 148 yards and two touchdowns through the air for the Trojans.

Andover racked up 249 yards on the ground. Peyton Henry accounted for 207 yards, and Malik Watkins added 42 yards on just four carries.

Henry was also the leading receiver with four catches for 76 yards. Malik Watkins also had four catches for 35 yards, and Harper Jonas added 32 yards on three catches.

Next week, the Trojans will take on their rival Andover Central (4-2) on Friday, Oct. 12 at Andover District Stadium.
