The Kansas Cannons season came to an late Thursday night as the Colorado Cyclones were able to rally in the top of the eighth and advance with a 4-1 win at Lawrence-Dumont stadium.

The Cannons took the lead in the bottom of the third inning, when Braden Kirkpatrick drove in Jordan Ellison from third. The Cannons maintained a 1-0 lead until the to of the eighth inning. Trent Bollman singled to score two runs and give the Cyclones the lead. In the next at-bat, Colorado’s Pete Shearer Tripled to centerfield to score two more runs and put the Cyclones up by 3.

In the bottom of the ninth, the Cannons were able to load the bases with two outs, but were unable to put together a comeback.

Andrew Snyder pitched six and one-third scoreless innings for the Cannons. Braden Kirkpatrick accounted for three of the Cannons’ six hits, and drove in the team’s only run.

The Cannons finish with a tournament record of 3-1, and an overall record of 30-18.
