Jonny Clausing helped his team earn a 112-106 overtime victory at the 2018 Kansas Basketball Coaches Association (KBCA) All-Star game in Salina on Saturday. The top high school basketball seniors from across Kansas were able to showcase their talents at Mabee Arena on the campus of Kansas Wesleyan University.

After trailing by 12 at the half, the Blue team stormed back to send the game to overtime, where they came away with a 112-106 win over the white team.

“It was fun to get to play against some of the best in Kansas,” said Classing. “It was a pretty competitive up-and-down game. All the guys were playing hard and having fun doing it.”

According to Clausing, the Blue team’s second-half comeback was made possible by rebounding and doing a better job of preventing transition points.

“We started to rebound better, and we got back on defense. They had a lot of fast break points in the first half.”

In the fall, Clausing will attend Washburn University, where he has already began playing with some of his future teammates in preparation for his first season with the Ichabods.
