Bluestem finished off a solid regular season with a sweep at Belle Plaine.

The Lions took game one by a score of 7-4. Ashtyn Jurging earned the win, and Kyndall Clevenger came in to preserve the win for the Lions.

Bluestem came out on top in a close game two as the Lions won their seventh straight game to finish the regular season 15-5.

Kendall Clevenger earned the win in game two. Ashtyn Jurging came in to relieve Clevenger in the seventh inning.

Natalie Bevan led the Lions at the plate, hitting three doubles and finishing with four RBI’s in the doubleheader. Payton Haga drove in three runs, and Andrea Harlan hit .667 and also hit her first home run of the season.

With a record of 15-5, Bluestem enters their regional tournament as the No. 2 seed. The Lions will have home field advantage throughout their regional tournament, which will take place May 14-15. The Lions will take on the winner of Yates Center (12-6) vs Altoona Midway (0-20) on Tuesday, May 15 at 4:30 p.m..
