Several former Butler Grizzlies have found success in the NFL in recent years. Last weekend, several more were given chances to prove themselves at the next level.
Michael Gallup was drafted by the Dallas Cowboys with the 81st pick in the 2018 NFL Draft.
While at Butler, Gallup stood out in his freshman season, leading the team with 780 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns. However, Gallup was only able to play in three games in his sophomore season, due to an ankle injury.
Following his time at Butler, Gallup transferred to Colorado State University, where he finished with 176 receptions, 2,690 yards, and 21 touchdowns in two seasons. Gallup finished fifth among all NCAA D1 players in receiving yards last season.
Several other former Grizzlies have signed with NFL teams or have been invited to mini camps.
Byron Pringle - Kansas City Chiefs
Davon Durant - Washington Redskins
Ulric Jones - Seattle Seahawks
Mych Thomas - New York Jets
Afolabi Laguda - Los Angeles Rams
Mini Camp invites:
