Bluestem hosted Belle Plaine Friday night in Leon as the Lions found themselves outmatched in their second district game, falling 52-16 in front of their home crowd.

The Lions were coming off of a crucial win against Wichita Independent in the first round of districts, but failed to show any signs of life in their loss to Belle Plaine as the Dragons controlled the game from the opening quarter and never looked back.

Bluestem, is now 1-1 in district play and will need to beat Douglass at home next Friday to keep their season alive.
