The Bluestem volleyball team improved to 9-4 on the season as the Lions have already won more games than they did a season ago. The Lions have showed a great deal of improvement this season after finishing 7-30 last season.

Bluestem took first at the Flinthills tournament on Saturday to improve to 9-4.

The Lions rolled through pool play, beating Remington, West Elk, and Cedar Vale without dropping a set.

In bracket play, Bluestem defeated Chase County 25-16, 25-16 in the semifinals to advance to the championship where they defeated Remington 21-25, 25-20, 25-22 to take first.
