The El Dorado Broncos and Derby Twins were rained out of Thursday's game at McDonald Stadium. The teams played one and one-half innings and Derby led 1-0.

On Thursday, Jayhawk League commissioner Phil Stephenson ruled that Derby was awarded a 7-5 victory over El Dorado in a game played in Derby. Stephenson said in an email that despite El Dorado having the tieing runs on base, he was awarding Derby the victory. El Dorado Bronco officials were upset at the ruling but had no recourse but to accept it.

Last season, El Dorado would have had a shot at the second-best record in the league, but a late ruling nullified an chance the Broncos had of finishing second.
