Douglass senior Madison Woody, who earned All-State recognition for her performance during the 2016 campaign, earned a spot on the KVA All-Star game this summer.

Woody will play for the Blue Team at the All-Star game. Rose Hill’s Melissa Segovia, who coached the state champion Rockets in Class 4A, will coach the team.

Woody was a top-tier middle blocker and hitter for the Bulldogs last season. She is signed to continue her career with Friends University next fall. Woody was a key cog in leading the Bulldogs to the Class 3A state tournament.

In a bit of irony, Douglas head coach Leanna Braddy was selected to be a head coach. She’ll be coaching against her own player, though, as she’s been selected to the Red Team.
