After a strong first day of competition, the Rose Hill Invitational resumed on Saturday morning with several Butler County athletes finishing in the top six of their weight class. Andover Central finished as the best ranked team as the Jaguars finished in fifth place. 106- Andover Central’s Griffin Baker placed second for the Jags falling in the title match 16-7 against undefeated Brian Gates of Hutchinson. Patch is now 21-8 on the season. Andover’s Carter Guyer was forced to forfeit his final two matches due to injury. Maki continued his strong run with a 9-1 victory in the title match on Saturday over Sam Kissane (Maize South). Maki is now 31-2 on the season and ranked number one in class 5A. Motter is the top ranked wrestler at 170-pounds in class 4A. Motter sits 26-1 on the season.
