Augusta’s bowling teams put together a strong performance to sweep Wichita Trinity, and the Oriole boys picked up a win against Collegiate, as well.
The varsity boys beat Trinity 2420-2216. Collegiate bowled a 1995 team score. Tyler Fieser stayed hot by bowling a 678 series to lead the Orioles, which included a team game-high 267 in the final game. He also bowled a 258 in the middle game. Cameron McKee bowled a 538 series with a high of 206 while Matthew Canedy bowled a 537 with a high of 196 for the Orioles. Grant Schrivner bowled a 528, Kamron Newman a 527 and Kyler McFeaters a 505 for Augusta.
The varsity girls remained undefeated in dual match-ups after picking up a 2181-690 win over a shorthanded Trinity team. Collegiate did not have a girls squad.
Abby Emmitt bowled a team-high 593 series, which included games of 207 and 219. Darienne Roberts set career highs with a 245 in Game 1 and a 566 series. Rebecca Spyres bowled a 523 series, Ashtyn Flower had a 490, Sidnee Carter a 472 and Kelli Stewart a 467.
