The El Dorado Wildcats hit the hardwood for the first time since finishing fifth in the Bluestem Classic. The Wildcats defeated Rose Hill 48-32 thanks to a strong defensive effort in the second half. El Dorado took a 25-22 lead into the break with both teams struggling to find points in the first half. The Wildcats came out of the locker room looking like a different team especially on the defensive side. Rose Hill scored just 10 points in the second half as El Dorado upped the pressure and intensity forcing several Rocket turnovers. El Dorado exploded for 16 points in the third frame in a full team effort as six Wildcats scored. Defensive stops allowed the Cats to take a big lead due to a 15-5 run. El Dorado then tallied seven in the fourth to hang on for the victory. With the win, El Dorado is now 6-7 on the season. The Wildcats will return to action on Friday night as they travel to Wellington.
