Rep. Martha Good is faithful to pledge

To the Editor,
It is with great pleasure that I take this opportunity to voice my support for Mary Martha Good for re-election as State Representative for the 75th district.  Mary Martha pledged to go to Topeka to work with colleagues from both sides of the aisle to clean-up the financial mess left by then Governor Brownback and the legislature, and she has demonstrated that she is faithful to her pledge.
Working with Mary Martha in USD 490 for over 20 years, I observed her hard work, initiative, and perseverance in carrying out the tasks at hand.  I am a great admirer of her ability to work with everyone, no matter the age, race, gender or political affiliation of the person.  Simply put, Mary Martha loves people.  She is genuine and quickly becomes friends with those she meets for the first time.  She has quickly earned the respect of colleagues of both parties of the Kansas House as a legislator willing to listen and build consensus on issues affecting all Kansans.   This free-thinking style allows Mary to vote her conscious for what she believes is the very best for our district.  This is a quality that I want in a legislator representing the interests of me and my family.
Mary Martha is GOOD for the 75th district and she is GOOD for Kansas.

Sincerely,

Supporting Carpenter

To the Editor,
This correspondence is sent to encourage the voters of District 75, Butler County to support Candidate Will Carpenter in his campaign for a seat in the Kansas House of Representatives.  Our current representative, Mary Martha Good, has voted contrary to my conservative ideals on several occasions; to whit, 1) not allowing an 18 year old (of voting, enlistment, and emancipatory age) to carry a concealed firearm, 2) allowing same sex couples to adopt, and 3) voted to increase income taxes, among others.
I have known Candidate Will Carpenter to be a good, solid, strong conservative in every area of legislation and a review of his prior voting record during his previous tenure as Representative of District 75 proves such.  I have always sought to thoroughly research each candidates' stand on the issues, whether Republican or Democrat in affiliation prior to going to the polls and have always selected the most conservative candidate on my ballot.  Candidate Will Carpenter is the best, most conservative candidate in my humble opinion and best reflects my beliefs in the purpose of government.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
