Family Life Center’s fundraiser a success

To the Editor,
The Family Life Center would like to thank everyone who helped make our second annual Safehouse Fundraiser a success.
The Safehouse second annual Triathlon Fundraiser was a lot of fun, with 21 teams (42 participants). They started off their Friday night with pool at True Lies, Saturday morning was golfing at Prairie Trails Golf Course followed by a BBQ lunch and all the fixins, and ended with 3 games of bowling at Grizzly Bowl.  It was a fun weekend for all.
The Safehouse would like to thank its sponsors:
Platinum Level sponsors
Commerce Bank - $1,000
Pinnacle Structures - $500
Trinity Precision - $500
JRS Rentals - $500
The Green Way - $500
Jeff and Lori Kelly - $500
Gold Level Sponsors
Butler Rural Electric - $250
Wilson Chiropractic - $250
Blackburn Construction - $250
Bay Insulation Systems - $250

And our many $100 Hole Sign sponsors.
Thank you all for making our 2nd annual Safehouse Triathlon Fundraiser a huge success.

Thanking local donors, volunteers and friends

To the Editor,
We have retired from our positions with the American Red Cross community blood drive.  We need to say thanks to so many.  Hopefully, we won’t miss anyone.
The donors are wonderful.  They are faithful and they are our friends.  The volunteers are what make the blood drive possible.  When we call, they say “Yes, if at all possible.”
The Masons previously did the set ups and take downs of the drives. They  now store the containers of supplies and post our signs.
Trinity Methodist Church and First Baptist Church have been so gracious for allowing us to use their facilities.  St. John’s Catholic Church offered use of their facility when they could not.
David Green of C & J has provided table paper and styrofoam cups - many times for free!
Keebler provides the packaged snacks and the American Red Cross paid for everything else.
Our representative brought us a huge cake and hanging basket of flowers for each of us.
We are so grateful to all of you and hope you keep up the good work. You won’t get a chance to miss us because we’re both on the volunteer list!

Sincerely,
Ramona Clanton
