Leon "Okie" Duvergne Randolph, 86, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 11, 2018.
Visitation will be from 5 -7 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 16, at Dunsford Chapel in Augusta.  Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 17, 2018, at the First Southern Baptist Church in Augusta.  Interment will follow at Elmwood Cemetery, Augusta.
Leon was born on Oct. 22, 1931 in Ames, Okla. to Ralph Joseph and Muriel Carrie (Racer) Randolph.  Leon had served his country by joining the Army National Guard in 1949.  On Sept. 1, 1950, his unit was mobilized into the U.S. Army and sent to Korea, where he served for 1 year and 2 months.  Leon was honorably discharged from the Active Army on June 8, 1952.  On Oct. 19, 1952 Leon married Coral "Jean" Goodpasture in Hennessey, Okla.  Last October they celebrated 65 years of marriage.  Leon had worked at Beech for 36 years in sheet metal.  Everyone called Leon "Okie".  Leon was a lifetime member of his National Guard unit the 45th Infantry Division (Thunderbirds) Association in Oklahoma, the DAV, Augusta American Legion Post #189 and Augusta VFW Post #6746.  Leon loved to paint and draw.
Leon is survived by: his wife Jean of the home; sons, Michael (Dana) Randolph of Towanda and Randy (Velvet) Randolph of Raymore, Mo.; daughter, Carolyn (Brian) Wright of Shawnee, Kan.; daughter-in-law, Katusha Randolph of Madison, NC; sister, Carol Lee (Jim) Rogers of Webb City, Mo.; grandchildren, Ralph, Christy, Stacy, Katrina, Carolyn, Crystal, Rikki, Levi, Gilbert, Grace, Luke and Dustin; 15 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; and the many close friends who called Leon their Grandpa.
Leon was preceded in death by his parents; son, John; brothers, Leonard and Larry; sisters, Donna Grace Randolph, Joyce Sontag, Oleta Evans, Annabelle Guthrie, Linda Cunningham and Bernadine Richardson.
The family wishes memorial contributions be made out for funeral expenses, left in care of the Dunsford Funeral Home.
