Ronald 'Ron' Gene Jacobson, 75, passed away on Oct. 23, 2017

Ronald ‘Ron’ Gene Jacobson, 75, of Towanda, passed away on Monday, Oct. 23, 2017, at Wesley Medical Center.
A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 5, 2017, at the Towanda United Methodist Church, led by Pastor John Martyn.
Ron was born on Sept. 19, 1942, to Lind and Martha (Greer) Jacobson.  He was raised in Willis, Kan., where he graduated from Willis High School, in 1960.  After high school, Ron joined the Army National Guard. Ron was employed by Mission Township until he retired in 1998, in Brown County, Kan.  
Ron and Charlotte (Coder) Jacobson married on Sept. 14, 1963, in Horton, Kan., and had three children, Angela, Tamara and Charlie.
Ron was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Everest, Kan., and attended Towanda United Methodist Church in Towanda.
Ron was known for his sense of humor, and he enjoyed spending time with Charlotte, his pugs and attending his grandchildren’s sporting events.  
Ron will be sadly missed by: his wife, Charlotte; children, Angela (Wendell) Watson of Weston, Fla., Tamara (Walter) Alexander of Meriden, Kan., Charlie (Bobbie) Jacobson of Towanda; 8 grandchildren, Tyler Matthias, Spencer Jacobson, Tanner Matthias, Eli Jacobson, Taylor Watson, Nathan Watson, Brett Jacobson and Duke Jacobson; brother, Delbert Jacobson of Willis.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his sister, Lorene Jacobson Scott.
