Lloyd L. Zang, Jr., 80, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 1, 2017, at his home.
Visitation with family will be from 1 to 2 p.m., followed by a funeral service with military honors at 2 p.m., on Wednesday, led by Chaplain Charles Klassen, all at Carlson Funeral Home.
Lloyd was born on Aug. 17, 1937, in El Dorado, the son of Lloyd L. and Geraldine (Lee) Zang, Sr. He was a graduate of El Dorado High School and served his country during the Korean War in the United States Navy. He was united in marriage to Kay Eastham on April 25, 1959 in El Dorado. Lloyd enjoyed a long career in the oil industry beginning with Skelly Oil, followed by Getty and Texaco Oil. He was a manager of several units at the El Dorado refinery and tasked with starting a new refinery in Thailand during his career. Lloyd enjoyed golfing and traveling with his wife Kay, and friends.
His loving family includes: his wife Kay of El Dorado; daughters, Tammy (Mark) Dewey of Valley Center and Jennifer (Stephen) Loyd of Fort Smith, Ark.; grandchildren, Carson Z. Loyd, Derek Loyd, Gavin (Jaclyn) Dewey and Candace (Vince) Grady; seven great grandchildren; brother, Ray (Debbie) Zang of Pratt and Debbie (Norman) Kirk of Ardmore, Okla.
