He was born on Dec. 24, 1954 in Wichita, to Frank Dean and Clara Elizabeth (Gillenwaters) Call. Michael earned his Bachelors of Science Degree in Business Administration from WSU. He worked at many sales and customer service jobs as well as an electronics installer at Cessna and his favorite as a purchasing agent for his alma mater WSU. Michael enjoyed Amtrak travel, photography and was a very proud Eagle Scout, even helping when the Boy Scout cabin was built at Andover United Methodist Church. He loved people and being able to help them. He was sensitive and sentimental and enjoyed the simple life: hunting, fishing and camping with his friends. Michael is remembered as a bit of a jokester who was always smiling and as a dedicated, loyal, friend and listener. After a brief employment in Kansas City, he came back to Andover to be with his mother after the death of his father. He remained there taking great care of his ailing mother in her final years and opted to stay in the Andover he loved.
Michael is survived by: his brother Glen Call and his wife Becky and their daughter, Hillary, whom he adored; and many other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Frank "Dean" and Clara, and his beloved Sheltie dog Toby.
Memorial donations may be made in Michael's memory to the Alzheimer's Association, Central and Western KS Chapter, 1820 E. Douglas, Wichita, KS 67214.
