Kenneth Eugene Trimmer, 94, of Augusta, passed away Monday, Sept. 25, 2017.
Visitation at 10 a.m. until service at 11 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 29, 2017 10 a.m., at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta. Burial will follow at Clearwater Cemetery, Kan.
Kenneth was born in Blackwell, Okla. on Aug. 20, 1923, to the late Kathleen Samantha (Rocket) and David Burton Trimmer. He served in the U.S. Army. Kenneth was a retired motor coach operator at Continental/Trailways Bus line. On Feb. 20, 1943 he married Betty Ann (Shoemaker) Trimmer at the Douglas Ave. Church of Christ, Wichita, and she survives him.
He is also survived by: son, Ed Trimmer and wife Kris of Winfield; daughter, Kay Cook and husband Lloyd Jr. of Wichita.; grandchildren, Andrew Cook, Michelle Cook, Kyle Rivera (Alfredo) and Jessica Smith (Mark); great grandchildren, Caleb and Noah Cook, Asanty and Avery Rivera, and Hannah Smith; and great grandson, Weston Flannigan.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Herman; sister, Geraldine Hudson; half brothers, Marshall Melvin, and Frank Trimmer; and half-sisters, Ollie Hessen and Lucille Robinson.
