Harley E. Guy, 75, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 23, 2017, at home surrounded by his loving family.
Visitation with family present will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, at Carlson Colonial Funeral Home. Graveside service with military honors, led by Pastor John Martyn, will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, in the Leon Cemetery.
Harley was born on March 29, 1942, in Columbus, Kan., the son of Harley B. and Venettia P. (Hull) Guy. Harley was a 1960 graduate of Leon High School and served his country in the United States Navy from 1961 until 1966. He worked as a union pipefitter out of Local 441 until his retirement. He was united in marriage to the former Margie Essex on September 3, 1988 in Leon. Harley enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his loving family: his wife Margie of Towanda; son, Jason (Crystal) Guy of El Dorado; daughter, Correna (Tommie) McClure of El Dorado; step children, Scott (Sherry) Cox of El Dorado, and Rebecca Cox of El Dorado; grandchildren, Amber Guy, Sara Wonser, Joel Wonser, Spencer McClure, Shawn Cox, Laci Cox, Jacob Boone and Courtney Boone; sister, Phyllis Crissup; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three siblings.
