Carol Hill Morey Sommerfeld, age 68, passed away on September 4th, 2017, in her home in Longmont, Colorado due to her fight with cancer. Carol was born April 7th, 1949 in Alpine, Wyoming. Carol was one of 4 children the only girl. Don't let that fool you she was tough, her family survived on hunting and she was good at spotting the wildlife her dad and brothers would get. She loved the beauty of nature and wildlife. She loved to spend time in Wheatland and feed the deer salt blocks and water so she could bring them closer so she could watch them. She loved to ride her ATV and just enjoy being outdoors.

Carol and Gary loved to do underground pig roasts over Labor Day weekend in Alpine where Carol grew up. She enjoyed cooking and entertaining and as years passed it grew to over 100 family members and a few friends. This was a very special time of year for her as she loved the fall.

Carol worked for Micro Computer World, Max Store and did payroll and safety for EZ Excavating. She then retired and was a homemaker.

One of Carol’s greatest attributes was her strength and compassion. She loved to travel and visit friends and family in the States. Family was very important to Carol. She enjoyed going to the grandkids sporting events at school. She had a love for football and enjoyed going to CU football games and watching basketball.
